If you are going abroad and believe you may need specific vaccinations please make an appointment in our travel clinic. Please allow as much time as possible prior to your holiday as travel advice needs to be tailored to the person and where they are travelling and is based on a detailed individualised assessment.
A travel form must be completed before an appointment can be made.

When you attend your appointment the nurse will require the following information:
- The country you are visiting
- The length of your stay
- The type of holiday you are having (e.g. tourist resort/back packing)
- Your departure date
The following vaccinations are provided free of charge:
- Diphtheria / Tetanus
- Hepatitis A
The following vaccinations will incur a charge:
- Hepatitis B £50 per injection (course of 3)
- Rabies £55 per injection (course of 3),
- Meningitis ACWY Vacc £60
- Yellow Fever £80

Japanese Encephalitis and tick borne Encephalitis need private prescriptions and you will need to buy the vaccination from a pharmacy.
Some malaria tablets may be bought at the pharmacy without a prescription while others are only available with a private prescription costing £15 from the doctor.
Travel vaccinations can also be arranged at private travel clinics.
